There is certainly things in fashion that would cause you an orgasm well, as I would personally call it and between those mixed passionate feelings we can include that Rodrigo Otazu can give you one of those, Rodrigo has been quite long in the industry, with his remarkable aesthetic and trademark touch he has conquered the world of fashion . Rodrigo is very known for his collaborations with famous designers like: Christian Lacroix, Alexander Mc Queen and Jean Paul Gaultier, his jewelry has been worn by the most famous women’s around world, artist like: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Lucy Liu, Britney Spears, Kelis, Gwyneth Paltrow and even including the cast from “Sex and The City” are huge fan of Rodrigo’s work and there’s much more, but if I continue with the list, there will not be enough space for all the people that have worn his incredible pieces.
Rodrigo Otazu‘s work is one of the few that will cause you an emotion, he thinks about every single detail while he designs something, it seems almost like an architectural work but in a more artistic way, he pretty much knows all the different markets in the industry, he can make you go avant-garde one day and the next one you’ll be wearing something more classy or timeless, Rodrigo actually gives something different to everyone, on his jewelry line there’s no age, no fear to wear something made by his hands.
A few days ago we had the pleasure to have an interview with this mastermind, he let us known more about his life and how he achieve so many things with his driven personality.
Jhon Jairo Santos: Rodrigo how are you ? im so glad you accept this interview.
Rodrigo Ozatu: Good, thank you for asking. I am glad you will like to interview me.
JS: How is a day in the life of Rodrigo Otazu?
RO: Crazy! were shall I start? Gym, run and then healthy breakfast to set the day in a good note and also deep myself into a 1000′s of e-mails.
JS: Where are you from? I’ve read articles online about your biography and they say you born in Argentina, is that true?
RO: Yes correct, I am from Argentina, very latin man over here, I think this has give me that “azucar” in my life to make it very spicy,and also make my work very interesting.
JS: A what age did you felt that your passion was to design high ended fashion jewelry?
RO: I think I was brorn with that, I was really interested in Vogue when I was 9 or 10 and I used to spend hours and hours in the magazine shops looking at all the magazines because my father would never give me any money to spend it in fashion, so I find my own way to it.
JS: What is fashion for you?
RO: Fashion for me is to be Original, fashion is personality is also to have that feeling for something that is special with out wanting to be one.
JS: Have you ever consider to make a collaboration with some other top designers and which ones have you work with?
RO: Sure, I did colaborations with Christian Lacroix, I teached Victor & Rolf to make a necklace in their first years. Jean Paul Gaultier and last but not the least Alexander McQueen.
